Asimov's: February '05

No, they haven't accepted my story. Yet. The new issue, though, does have a novellette (between a short story and a novella. They won't be satisfied until there's a new category every 1000 words) written by one of my professors and mentors from Emory, Jim Grimsley. It's called "The 120 Days of Sodom," after the Marquis de Sade book of the same name, and while some of the subject matter is the same as that work (read: not for all ages), the theme is quite different. Readers who like the world he creates here would be well-served to seek out his previous novels, Kirith Kirin and The Ordinary.
