All right, so according to Fred Van Lente, it turns out that all Chameleon and Michelle did was have a steamy make-out session.
Right, then. That makes the art a bit of a cheat, then, since we're clearly supposed to assume more. But removing the question of rape is, I think, best off for all concerned.
That still makes Michelle's portrayal a ridiculous sitcommish caricature, and I feel no remorse about still hating that part of the story.
