That describes the act of pretension to epicureanism in one's tastes, the self-aggrandizing assumption and attitude that one only partakes of the finest things in life, and in only the most cultured and refined way. When, in fact, one is just as much a plebian as the rest of us.
"Hipster" doesn't cover it, because that's a pretension to disaffected coolness, not taste. Hipsters often pride themselves on having no taste whatsoever, good or bad. I'm talking about the pretension to not just good, but the best, taste.
